Northampton man suffers broken leg in vicious unprovoked attack

A man has suffered a broken leg after being attacked from behind when he was walking along Harborough Road in Kingsthorpe, Northampton.

The assault happened at around 8.50pm on Wednesday, March 24 when the victim passed another man, who then attacked him from behind while shouting at him.

The victim suffered significant injuries during the assault - including a broken leg - before three members of public were able to pull the attacker off him.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, especially three young males who helped the victim.
