Northampton man charged after Wellingborough stabbing

A man has been charged with GBH over a stabbing in Wellingborough earlier this month.

Alfie Kew, 20, has been remanded in custody over the incident in Kilnway at about 2pm on January 17.

The victim, a 43-year-old man, was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the hand.

Kew, of St Michael's Road in Northampton, has since been charged with GBH with intent and possession of a bladed article.

He has also been charged with being in possession of cannabis and a knife in Glenbank in Wellingborough on January 22.

Kew appeared before magistrates on Monday (January 25) and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at Northampton Crown Court on March 10.

Police have arrested two other people in connection with the Kilnway incident.

A 40-year-old Wellingborough woman was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and has been released under investigation.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of GBH without intent and has been released on police bail.
