Naked man spotted standing on grass verge next to Northampton road

Police are keen to find anybody who spotted a naked man standing on a grass verge in Northampton on Sunday afternoon.

Officers say the man — described as black, 5ft 10in tall, of a large build and with shaven hair — was reported in Billing Lane, between Great Billing Way and Overstone village.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The incident was reported between 2pm and 3pm on Sunday (September 20).

"Our officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the man standing on the grass verge, or who may have captured this incident on dashcam footage.

"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 using reference number 20000494758 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you prefer to remain anonymous."

A 60-year-old man from Northampton arrested in connection with this incident has been released but remains under investigation pending further enquiries.
