A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police Interceptors said: "The driver only had a provisional driving licence and no insurance policy in place. Her defence being a friend said she was a good driver."

The car was promptly seized and a 34-year-old woman was reported for driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and driving without third party insurance.
