'My friend said I'm a good driver': Woman caught driving with no licence or insurance in Kettering
The car was seized and the driver was reported
A car was seized by police in Kettering this morning after a woman was caught driving without a licence (April 12).
The vehicle activated Automatic Number Plate Recognition camera at around 10am. Officers then located and stopped the vehicle in Windmill Avenue before challenging the driver.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police Interceptors said: "The driver only had a provisional driving licence and no insurance policy in place. Her defence being a friend said she was a good driver."
The car was promptly seized and a 34-year-old woman was reported for driving otherwise in accordance with a licence and driving without third party insurance.
