Motorcyclist's injuries "potentially life-threatening" after Wellingborough A45 crash

A man is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after a serious crash on the A45 last night (Monday).

Emergency services rushed to the eastbound stretch of the major road towards the Turnells Mill Lane junction in Wellingborough at about 7pm.

The crash involved one vehicle, a Suzuki GSX-R750, and it is not yet known how he lost control.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his late 30s, is currently at University Coventry Hospital.

The road was closed for about six hours but has since re-opened.
