A man has been left with "serious, potentially life-changing injuries" after a crash on the edge of Higham Ferrers yesterday (Sunday).

He was riding a green Ducati motorbike on the B645 Chelveston Road when the crash occurred just after midday.

The bike failed to negotiate a corner, crossed the carriageway and hit a black VW Golf which was travelling in the opposite direction.

Police said the man riding the motorcycle was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with serious, potentially life changing injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone with information or who witnessed this incident is asked to call the Drivewatch Hotline on 0800 174615."
