Men try to force their way into home on Wellingborough's Queensway estate

Three men tried to force their way into a house in Shelley Road, Wellingborough.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attempted burglary which took place between 6.15pm and 6.45pm on Friday, January 29.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Three males have attempted to force access to the property, which resulted in the front door being damaged.

"No entry was gained.

"The offenders are described as being of a slim build and wearing black hoodies and clothing.

"At least one of them was white.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen three males acting suspiciously in the area of Shelley Road, between the stated times."

Anyone with information about the attempted burglary is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 21000062020 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
