Two men spat at and poured beer over a woman in Market Street, Kettering, on Tuesday, July 28.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the incident happened at around 11.30am when the woman warned a shopkeeper that she believed the men to be prolific shoplifters.

The two men in question then turned on the victim. One spat at her, shouted at her and poured a can of beer over her.

The men then made off on a bicycle towards Barclays Bank.
