Man to appear in court today on Rushden manslaughter charge

A Rushden man will appear before magistrates today (Thursday, December 10) to answer a manslaughter charge two years after a man was attacked in the town.

Gurprit Singh Bains is to make his first appearance at Wellingborough Magistrates' Court following the death of Phillip Brown after the attack in Horrell Court, Rushden.

Mr Brown, 51, was fatally injured in the incident on November 12, 2018, and died in hospital on December 5 of that year.

Bains, 41, of Shannon Close, will appear from custody this morning.
