Man stabbed by 'gaunt' attacker on Kettering estate

A man was stabbed by a 'gaunt' attacker on Kettering's Ise Lodge estate at the weekend.

Today (Wednesday) police launched an appeal for information after the shocking incident in an alleyway which links St Theresa’s Close and Anderson Drive.

Just after 7.25am on Sunday (February 28) the victim walked down the alleyway from St Theresa's Close and heard someone shout 'oi'.

He was then approached by an unknown man and, after an altercation, was stabbed in the upper arm.

Police said he was left needing hospital treatment for the wound.

A force spokesman said: "The suspect is described as a white man aged 30 to 35, about 5ft 9in, of skinny build and gaunt appearance.

"He wore a dark blue or black hooded coat with the hood up, light grey muddy tracksuit bottoms, and scruffy dirty white trainers."
