Man pushed and spat at in Rothwell street

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was pushed and spat at while walking along Tresham Street in Rothwell.

The incident happened as the victim was walking in the direction of Cecil Street at about 1pm on Tuesday, June 16.

A spokesman for Northants Police said as the victim approached the Castle Hill junction, he was confronted by the offender who is described as 5ft 3in with a slim build and short dark hair.

Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 20000305259, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
