Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in the head as he parked his car in Corby.

At around 3.30pm on Tuesday, April 13, the victim was parking up in Elizabeth Street outside the former police station when a man approached his car.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "When the victim lowered his window, the man punched him once to the head before leaving the scene as a passenger in a white Ford Fiesta driven by a woman.

"The suspect is described as a white man, aged around 30, 5ft 7in to 5ft 11in, of average build, with a beard.

"The victim did not sustain an injury during the assault."

Anyone who saw the assault or has information about it is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 21000202216.
