A 60-year-old man will need surgery after he was hit in the face during an argument in Kettering.

The man was assaulted in the car park outside Wickes in Northfield Avenue, Kettering, after challenging another man who had parked in a disabled space.

The incident happened between 11.45am and 12.15pm on Thursday, October 8. During the argument, the offender went to his car to get an object which he then used to hit the victim once in the face.

The victim sustained a cut which required stitches and has broken teeth which will need surgery.

Northamptonshire Police described the offender as a white man, about 6ft tall, and he had a beard and was wearing a beanie style of hat.
