A 19-year-old man was arrested following a chase that led to a man being stabbed in the hand in Brunswick Place, Northampton.
The incident took place on Thursday (February 18) at around 11pm when a member of the public witnessed a man being chased by another man.
One of the men was stabbed in the hand, which caused severe injuries including a laceration to the palm and the loss of a fingertip.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number: 21000098574."
