Man in court accused of failing to stop for Corby police while nearly SIX times over limit

A 30-year-old man will appear before the court tomorrow (Monday, November 30) to face a charge of driving while nearly six times over the alcohol limit.

John Purcell, who is appearing from HMP Hewell, is also charged with failing to stop in Cottingham Road, Corby, when ordered to do so by a police officer.

He is also accused of hitting the wall of a farm in Hill Road, Middleton, and failing to stop or report the incident.

When stopped on December 28 last year, the charge sheet says that Purcell had no insurance and had 205mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35mg.

He will appear before Wellingborough Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
