Man grabs 11-year-old girl's waist as she walks to Northampton school

Police are hunting a "30 or 40-year-old" male who grabbed a girl around the waist while she was walking near a Northampton school.

Detectives say the 11-year-old was in Berrywood Road, heading towards Duston School at 8.15am on Thursday (December 10).

The man approached the schoolgirl from behind and grabbed her around the waist.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "The offender is slim, white man, around 5ft 7in tall and with no facial hair.

"He was wearing a grey jacket or hoodie, a red top, blue trousers and black shoes.

"If anyone saw the incident or has information which could help our investigation, please call 101 using incident number 20000654127. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
