The officer patrolling the area in plain clothes was part of the Northampton neighbourhood Team’s proactive policing model, which sees both uniformed and plain-clothed police officers patrolling the town regularly.

Northampton Neighbourhood Police Team tweeted this morning: “Believe it or not, a male approached one of our officers last night offering to supply him drugs. If you think you can come to our town to deal drugs, you’d be wrong.

“Our cops are patrolling in uniform AND plain clothes. Criminality will be disrupted.”

Perhaps this will make drug dealers think twice about offering drugs to people.
