Man in custody after Corby 'knife threats'

A man remains in custody after a reported knife incident which saw a large police presence in Corby.

Residents in Gainsborough Road said a number of officers were in the area after the incident near Gainsborough Court at about 8.30pm last night (Thursday).

A police spokesman said a man was reported to be making threats with a knife.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

A 46-year-old Corby man was arrested on suspicion of affray and making threats to kill.

He remains in custody today.
