Man charged with Desborough stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Desborough on Friday (November 6).

Matthew Lee, 27, of Nunnery Road, Rothwell, has been charged with wounding with intent and is due to appear before magistrates today.

The incident happened just after 11am on Friday when two men chased a 40-year-old man from the direction of Harrington Road, before they assaulted him in Addison Road.

The victim sustained an arm injury and was taken to hospital.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the victim is recovering.

Northamptonshire Police appealed for witnesses on Friday and said anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
