Detectives hunting gang of three following Friday night attack

A man was brutally beaten with a hammer during an attack by a gang of three men yards away from Weston Favell police station.

The attack happened in Pyramid Close — close to Weston Favell Shopping Centre — between 6pm and 7pm last Friday (March 26).

According to a Northamptonshire Police spokesman, the victim suffered facial injuries during the attack which happened as he walked by the police station.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time to call 101 with incident number 21000170677 or, alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
