A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a crash in Corby.

The incident happened on Friday, October 9, at about 9.55pm near the Spread Eagle in Oakley Road.

The collision involved a white Vauxhall Astra and a black Mercedes CLS 400, which police suspect was being driven by a 40-year-old Corby man.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The driver of the Mercedes left before we arrived, however we tracked him down and he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink-driving."

Police and fire services attended the scene. The driver of the Vauxhall suffered minor injuries.
