Man arrested for attempted murder allegedly assaulted Rushden stabbing suspect
A 27-year-old man being quizzed on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the death of a 25-year-old woman in Rushden has been arrested for allegedly seriously assaulting a man suspected of killing her.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 25-year-old woman in Rushden last night, Saturday, December 7 at around 8.30pm.
A 13-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder and a second 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The 27-year-old man suspected of attempted murder has been arrested on suspicion of seriously assaulting the other 27-year-old man in an incident police say is linked to the murder investigation.

The 27-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder is currently in hospital following the assault.
The 25-year-old woman was stabbed in Wellingborough Road near St George's Way and despite the best efforts of paramedics, she died at the scene.
Police were called to the scene at around 8.30pm yesterday evening.
