A man sustained minor injuries following an altercation between a group of men in Rushden.

Police were called at about 7pm last night (Wednesday) to Cromwell Road, Rushden, following reports of an altercation between a group of men.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "One man had very minor injuries to his chest but no serious injuries were sustained.

"A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and remains in police custody at this time."

Any witnesses to the incident are encouraged to come forward and speak to police.
