Man admits Kettering GBH

A man has been remanded in custody after admitting GBH over an incident in Kettering.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was assaulted in Gold Street at about 4.45am on September 20.

Glenn Ribchester, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm without intent.

At Northampton Magistrates' Court the 44-year-old pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody.

He is due to be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on October 23.

A second man was separately charged with causing grievous bodily harm without intent after the incident.

Corey Stafford, who is 26 and of Thorngate Street in Kettering, did not enter a plea when he appeared before magistrates.

He was granted bail and will appear at Northampton Crown Court on October 21.
