Magistrates let it go after Kettering man steals Frozen toys
A Kettering man will not face punishment for stealing children's toys as long as he keeps out of trouble for the next 12 months.
Ricky Long, 33, admitted theft after helping himself to Frozen 2 toys from the town's The Works store in High Street on December 10.
The toys from the animated film about Elsa the Snow Queen, which was released in the UK in November, were worth an estimated £100.
Long gave his address to Northampton Magistrates' Court as the town's Market Stalls last week having previously failed to turn up.
Magistrates discharged him conditionally for 12 months - meaning no further action will be taken unless he commits a further offence.
Long was told he must pay costs of £85 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £21.
