‘Knifepoint incident’ sparked armed police response in Corby
An armed police response in Corby was prompted after a member of the public was the victim of a knifepoint incident.
Several police vehicles were sent to the scene in Tavern Walk, off Tower Hill Road, in Corby at about 5.35pm tonight (Wednesday, January 20).

Hide AdA man was approached by three other men in the quiet residential street, one of whom was believed to have been in possession of a knife.
Thankfully nobody was injured.
Officers are still on the scene investigating.
All three men involved were wearing face coverings and police have issued an urgent appeal to try to find them.
Anyone who saw them leaving Tavern Close, or in the surrounding area, between 5.25pm and 5.40pm tonight should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 399.
