A knife was pulled during an altercation between four men near to a Kettering play area.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault which took place in broad daylight near to the play area in Charlotte Place.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Between 2pm and 3pm on Monday, December 21, an altercation between two sets of two males has taken place, which has resulted in a 20-year-old man sustaining facial injuries and another receiving a cut to his hand.

"During the incident, one of the males has produced a knife, causing the two males who had been assaulted to run off.

"The two offenders were wearing tracksuits with the hoods up and face masks.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the altercation or who may have caught the incident on CCTV or dash-cam."
