Kettering woman charged with arson after Stamford Road house fire

A 35-year-old woman from Kettering has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life after a house fire in Stamford Road.

Emergency services were called to the terraced property in Stamford Road, Kettering, at about 4.30am on Saturday, August 22.

Alarna Greenman, 35, of Stamford Road, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life in connection with the incident.

One woman was taken to hospital for suspected smoke inhalation, but no one else was harmed in the blaze.

Greenman has also been charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker after one police officer was slapped and another was punched at the scene.

Firefighters from Rothwell, Kettering and Burton Latimer Fire Stations attended the scene to put out the fire, which started in the living room.

The house has suffered significant damage from the flames and has been boarded up.
