Kettering thieves flee after being disturbed while trying to hot-wire moped

Two would-be thieves fled after they were disturbed when they tried to hot-wire a moped in Kettering.

Police were called after the incident in the early hours of Sunday, January 29, in Morley Street.

The two males were seen trying to steal a resident’s moped but were disturbed by a neighbour and ran away, leaving their helmets behind.

The incident took place between 1.15am and 1.30am.
