Kettering police on drugs raid arrest man for obstruction

Police in Kettering arrested a woman on a drugs warrant yesterday (Tuesday) and then arrested a man for obstruction and breaching coronavirus rules.

The police were out on a misuse of drugs warrant in a flat in Windmill Avenue at around 11am yesterday when they arrested a 28-year-old woman who has since been released under investigation.

Police raided the flat and seized cannabis, scales and cash. Kettering ProActive Cops posted a photo on Twitter showing a broken window in the flat's front door and said a quantity of drugs and cash had been found.

Following the warrant, the police came across a man in Haynes Road who was being abusive towards officers and members of the public.

Paul Charles Green, 25, of Highfield Crescent, was arrested and charged with obstructing a constable in execution of duty and with using threatening and abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

He has also been charged with failing to comply with instruction during the coronavirus emergency period.

He will appear at court on June 24.
