Kettering paedophile had almost 25,000 sick child abuse images

A pervert from Kettering was caught with almost 25,000 depraved indecent images of children.

Gavin Lawson, 32, was arrested after police found the sick material on a laptop.

In total a forensic analysis found 24,574 images in category C, 64 in category B and 112 in category A, category A being the most serious.

The offences took place between July 2017 and January 2018.

On Friday (February 19) at Northampton Magistrates' Court Lawson, of Highfield Crescent, pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children.

The paedophile was told he would be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on March 19.

Magistrates granted him unconditional bail until his sentencing hearing.
