A pervert who was jailed for sexually abusing two young girls is back behind bars after breaching a court order designed to protect further victims.

Back in 2016, Roland Dyson, then living in Burton Latimer, was given three years in prison after he abused two girls

He was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life and was banned from working with children.

After his release from prison, Dyson was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and was monitored by specialist police officers. He was prevented from being in a house with a child under the age of 16 without the express permission of social services and the police.

But between December 2025, and January this year he was discovered to have remained at a house where there was a child living. He also had unsupervised contact with the child, in breach of the terms of his SHPO.

Dyson, 60, of William Street, Kettering, was at Northampton Crown Court earlier this month to be sentenced for two SHPO breaches, in that between December 10 and January 30 this year, had unsupervised contact with a girl under the age of 16 and that, between the same dates he remained at that property despite knowing there was a child there. He also admitted failure to comply with the terms of the sex offenders’ register in that he failed to notify the police of details that he was compelled to disclose.

His Honour Judge Rupert Mayo gave Dyson 21 months in prison and ordered him to pay a surcharge of £187.
