The 21-year-old, who communicated through a sign language interpreter, stole a total of £1,295.40 between March and September in 2018 by issuing false refunds to his account.

No further details of his crimes were heard in court yesterday.

A spokesman for the park said: “Wicksteed Park called in police after irregularities were identified during an internal audit.

“Following an internal disciplinary inquiry, a member of staff in our food and beverage team was subsequently dismissed in line with our zero tolerance policy on such matters."

Chairman of the bench Fleur Boynton granted Allison-Norman unconditional bail so a pre-sentence report can be carried out.

She said: "The offences that you have pleaded guilty to [mean] we will require more information in order to make the appropriate sentence."

Allison-Norman will be sentenced at the same court on March 10.
