A large amount of Class A drugs were then recovered by Police Dog Socks in the undergrowth next to the road.

Officers later searched an address in Birmingham and recovered many thousands of pounds in cash.

The Northants RCU team said: “Let’s be clear, county lines drug dealers will be arrested, have their drugs seized, their homes searched and their assets recovered.”

Superintendent Kevin Mulligan said: “Taking drugs and dealers off our streets is something we’ll keep on doing. The message is clear, Northants is not the place for criminals to prosper.

”We will find you and we will catch you.”
