Three suspected county lines dealers are in custody tonight following a police pursuit on the A14 earlier today (Saturday, June 6).
Kettering Police stopped three suspicious men in the town centre this morning before they ran off on foot. Officers managed to catch one suspect and arrested him before two others made off by car.
Northants Road Crime Unit then chased their suspects on the A14 before catching them.
A large amount of Class A drugs were then recovered by Police Dog Socks in the undergrowth next to the road.
Officers later searched an address in Birmingham and recovered many thousands of pounds in cash.
The Northants RCU team said: “Let’s be clear, county lines drug dealers will be arrested, have their drugs seized, their homes searched and their assets recovered.”
Superintendent Kevin Mulligan said: “Taking drugs and dealers off our streets is something we’ll keep on doing. The message is clear, Northants is not the place for criminals to prosper.
”We will find you and we will catch you.”
