A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said: “We are angry on their behalf – none of them come to work to be assaulted. It’s not ‘part of the job.’”

Buyukerzurum, who is 31, is set to appear at Northampton Magistrates Court this morning (August 18) to face more than 20 charges, including two for assaulting emergency workers, wounding with intent, theft, racially or religiously aggravated harassment and more.
