A pair of day trippers who chose to travel at least 150 miles to Corby were sent packing by police who also issued them with a £200 fixed penalty notice.

The men had travelled to the town from Portsmouth in Hampshire on Friday, January 15, and after a three-hour journey they were stopped in Corporation Street and asked why they were there.
