A paedophile from Irchester will be sentenced later this month after admitting sharing sick child abuse images.

Paul Norman, 64, was caught in possession of almost 100 indecent images of children on August 14 last year.

Five were in category A - the most depraved - with 24 in category B and 70 in category C.

Norman, of Pine Close, also shared indecent images of children between February and June last year.

At Northampton Magistrates' Court he admitted three counts of possession of indecent images and one count of distributing indecent images.

Magistrates granted him unconditional bail ahead of a sentencing hearing at Northampton Crown Court on August 25.

Norman will be required to register with police between now and his sentencing hearing.
