Investigators have launched an arson probe into Sunday's blaze at a Northamptonshire vineyard in which a man suffered burns to his face.

Detectives investigating the fire at Brynne Vineyard near Brixworth say the blaze started when a summerhouse was deliberately set on fire.

The man who received facial injuries as a result of the fire is currently being treated at Queen Elizabeth Birmingham Hospital.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman: "The fire was started at about 9pm on Sunday (November 22) in open fields off the A508, Brixworth Bypass.

"We would appeal to any witneses, or anyone with information as to how the fire started to contact is on 101 using incident number 20000618959. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
