Jardine Dewar has been handed a night-time curfew after a court heard she had failed to keep in touch with her probation officers on three separate occasions after being released from a prison sentence.

Police issued a wanted notice for Dewar, 29, back in January 2020 after she failed to appear at court to answer a long list of charges. When she eventually appeared in court, she admitted four thefts, three frauds, three thefts from cars and one offence of vehicle interference. She also asked for two theft offences to be taken into consideration.

On her released, Dewar was ordered to keep in touch with her probation officer and to attend appointments with S2S substance abuse officers. She failed to do so on three occasions in July, August and October 2020.

The breaches landed her back in Northampton Magistrates' Court earlier this month, where she admitted the offences.

Magistrates imposed a 20-day curfew meaning Dewar must wear an electronic tag and is not allowed to leave her home at Steyning Close, Corby, between the hours of 9pm and 5am.

Dewar is well-known in Corby after spates of targeting cars and shops across the town in recent years.
