A cyclist was injured in a hit and run in Corby this morning (Tuesday).

The incident happened in Oakley Road near Sower Leys Road at 5.45am when a car and bicycle were involved in a collision.

The cyclist suffered minor injuries but the car left the scene without stopping.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said the vehicle is believed to be a small light blue car.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with information or any dashcam footage to contact them on 101.
