Four people were fined after police received reports of a 'house party' at an address in Watkin Terrace, Northampton.

Police received calls from residents about a party with 'loud music' at around 4am yesterday (March 1) and were deployed to a property in Watkin Terrace.

Officers, after arriving, found a group of people having a birthday party.

Four individuals were issued with £200 fines.

Northants Police West LPA Response Inspector, on Twitter, said: "Officers are currently on scene at reports of a house party in the Castle area; several people have been issued fines for breaching Covid regulations. Come on people....now is not the time to be partying - we still have to abide by the government guidelines."

Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, announced his roadmap plan out of lockdown on February 22, which states that two households will not be able to meet indoors until at least May 17 subject to conditions in the four-step plan being met. All lockdown restrictions will not be eased until June 21 at the earliest.
