Four arrested over attempted catalytic converter thefts in Corby
They've all been released on bail
Police arrested four men after they caught a group trying to steal from cars in Corby yesterday (Sunday).
Officers chased them down after they were alerted to the criminals by ANPR cameras.
The gang were seen in the early hours of the morning trying to take the catalytic converters from vehicles in Chelveston Drive and Grendon Avenue.
Catalytic converters, which control and convert emissions, contain precious metals which are stripped out and sold by thieves.
A police spokesman said they arrested four men aged 25, 29, 41 and 41 from Wolverhampton.
They have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.
