Fire lit deliberately in Rothwell front garden

A resident looked outside to see a fire was burning in front of their house in Rothwell last Wednesday evening.

The incident on Wednesday, November 27 happened between 8.40pm and 9.10pm in Edinburgh Close, Rothwell and police are investigating it as arson with intent to endanger life.

The resident heard clattering in their front garden and looked out to see a fire was burning.

The fire service attended and put the flames out. The damage was minimised due to the cold weather.

Police are investigating an incident of arson in Rothwell

Police are appealing for anyone with information or who saw the fire being started to get in touch.
