Family pays tribute to "beautiful Hayley" who died in Kettering altercation
Hayley died at the scene in Russell Street on Monday
The family of a Kettering woman who died in an altercation in Russell Street say they are devastated by her death.
Hayley Louise Adams, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident at about 6.20pm on Monday.
In a tribute released today, her family said: “We, as a family, are devastated by the loss of our beautiful Hayley who was loved beyond measure by us all and will be greatly missed.
“Hayley will remain in our hearts forever, until we meet again.”
A major investigation was launched into her death and a man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
This morning police said that, after reviewing mobile phone footage and taking a large number of statements, he would be released with no further action after a consultation with the CPS.
Wayne Steele, 42, is being held on remand after he was charged with assaulting a 33-year-old man just before Hayley's death.
Steele, of Mill Road in Kettering, was also charged with possession of a prohibited article and possession of a taser-type device.
He appeared before magistrates yesterday and is due to appear at Northampton Crown Court on July 16.
