Those put behind bars include a child rapist, armed robbers, a heroin addict who strangled his girlfriend, two members of a county drug gang and a woman whose dangerous driving caused a crash which led to the death of an 83-year-old grandmother...

9. Matthew Walford and Jack Norrish
The two members of a county drug gang were jailed after a deal worth £40,000 went wrong in the middle of a Morrisons car park in March 2021. Witnesses saw cash flying in the air, a man running across the car park with a knife and one of the members of the organisation getting stabbed during the incident in Hereford. Walford, 27, of Long Mallows Rise, Northampton was given four years in prison and Norrish, 30, of Brixworth was also sentenced to four years. Photo: West Mercia Police

10. Samantha Curtis
The 59-year-old Northampton woman was jailed for a total of three years, nine months after admitting dangerous driving which led to the death of a beloved grandmother in a head on crash. Curtis, of Bouverie Road, was driving a Ford EcoSport in Talavera Way on December 13, 2024, when the vehicle crossed into the opposite carriageway and collided with a Vauxhall Agila. Yvonne Bruce, 83, died at the scene and her grandson, Daniel — who had been driving Yvonne to Aldi — was seriously injured. Photo: Northamptonshire Police

11. Mark Antony Sinclair
The paedophile, aged 36, reoffended by trying to send sexual messages to a person he thought was a teenage girl in May 2025. Sinclair, of Moorhouse Way, Kettering, was given a sexual harm prevention order after admitting sending sick messages to a police decoy on the Kik app. But on May 16 last year he was caught trying to contact a decoy 12-year-old girl. He was sentenced to 44 months. Photo: Northamptonshire Police

12. Jermaine Preston Lewis and Darren Bason
The pair were jailed after stealing a Ford B-Max during a burglary in Northampton. Lewis, aged 44, of no fixed abode, admitted a series of burglaries across the town — including in Towcester Road, Waveney Way, Chapel Green, Rochelle Way, Swale Drive and Derwent Close — during September 2025. Bason, aged 55, of Harlestone Road, was found guilty of joining in the Towcester Road break-in where the blue B-Max was taken. Lewis was sentenced to three years, six months and Bason three years.
