A former volunteer police officer in Northamptonshire has been accused of gross misconduct for misusing the force's intelligence system.
Ex-Special Constable Michael Shortland carried out searches and/or accessed confidential information without lawful authority and/or reasonable excuse.

Hide AdThe offences are alleged to have occurred on eight separate days between September 9, 2018, and January 21, 2019 and related to himself and members of the public.
A disciplinary hearing will be held by Northamptonshire Police at its headquarters in Northampton on Wednesday and Thursday (October 7 and 8).
