Eight arrested after Thrapston drug raids

Class A and B drugs were seized during a series of raids at addresses in Thrapston yesterday morning (Friday).

Eight men were arrested during an operation led by the serious and organised crime team with simultaneous warrants at eight different addresses.

In total eight were arrested - five (two aged 22, one aged 21, one 18 and one 17) are from Thrapston, one, aged 32, is from Corby, a 21-year-old is from Islip and a 17-year-old is from Titchmarsh.

The activity followed an investigation into organised crime gangs operating in the area and was aimed at disrupting the supply of cocaine and cannabis.

During searches at the Thrapston addresses, police seized a quantity of Class A and B drugs, cash and mobile phones.
