E-fit released of man who tried to snatch child in Wellingborough

Police have released an e-fit of a man who tried to snatch a child and assaulted a woman in Wellingborough.

The incident happened on Tuesday, March 3 between 10.45am and 11.30am near Olympic Way.

The woman and her young child were approached by the man from behind.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "The man picked up the child and made threats before assaulting the woman and then running away from the scene without the child."

Northamptonshire Police want to speak to the man and are asking him or anyone who might know who he is.
