Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a four-year-old girl was bitten by a dog in Upton Country Park, Northampton between 9.45am and 10.15am on Saturday November 7.

The incident took place as the girl walked along the footpath with her mum, brother and their dog when another brown dog ran up to them and attacked the family’s dog.

The offending dog bit the young girl on her arm, causing a number of puncture wounds that required medical attention.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may know the identity of the dog or its owner.”
