Cruel Desborough burglars steal Christmas presents

A Desborough woman woke up to find burglars in her house - who fled the scene with some of her Christmas presents.

Police are appealing for information after the heartless burglary in Ironwood Avenue at about 4.15am yesterday (Thursday).

The victim, who was sleeping upstairs, was woken up by the intruders who jemmied open a kitchen window.

The pair, a man and a woman, made off with jewellery, cash and Christmas presents after being disturbed by the homeowner.

The victim wasn't injured but was left shaken by the incident.

A police spokesman said one of the burglars was a woman in her early 20s of medium build with blonde hair. She wore dark clothing and gloves.

The second burglar was a man who also wore dark clothing and gloves.

No arrests have been made but witnesses should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
